On the surface it seems nice but most people's issue with childcare is financial than anything else. Cutting down to 4 days would be great if they kept the 5 day salary but they're not.



My view, which some may disagree with is that the people who'd benefit from this the most are the lowest paid staff with children or families to support. However they'd probably need 5 days of salary to make it worthwhile. It's really higher management on larger salaries who realistically have the option of swapping that this would be more viable for.
